Tim Hortons is closing all of their Canadian locations.
In an email to members, Tim Hortons said the decision was made due to current COVID-19 restrictions in place in all provinces , as well as their expectation that harsher measures are on the horizon.
“We’ve made the decision to temporarily close all Tim Hortons locations in Canada,” the company said.
“This was not an easy decision, but with the current pandemic-related policies in place, it’s the one we had to make with the health and safety of our riders and staff in mind.”
According to media reports, the move, which is expected to impact more than 100,000 workers, comes just three months after Tim Hortons Stores Inc., CEO Axel Schwan told investors the company would review its stores and shut down locations.
Starting next week , Tim Hortons Canada is no longer offering take-out service, and has closed the dining rooms at all restaurants.
