An IKEA in Canada just stepped up as they saw the desperate need for personal protective equipment for doctors, nurses and other frontline healthcare workers.
A store in Edmonton recently found 41,800 N95 masks in storage. The store had stocked the masks to be used for safety precautions before the pandemic hit.
Other IKEA locations in Canada have also donated masks. A store near Toronto donated their supply to a local hospital last week.
Currently there are major shortages of personal protective equipment for frontline healthcare workers across Canada.
Donations are coming in from companies across Canada but more supplies are still needed.
