It is going to be very hot in Ontario next week and even hotter in Toronto. Environment Canada issued the first official Ontario heat warning of the year for next week, in northwestern and southern parts of the province. The extreme heat will be made worse by intense humidity into the second week of July.
According to The Weather Network , daytime highs are expected to be in the low 45’s next week but will feel like 50°C thanks to the humidity. It is expected to cool down a little at nighttime, but not by much, so prepare to keep that AC unit running around the clock.
According to Environment Canada to , heat warnings are only issued when temperatures or humidity levels are high enough to pose an elevated risk of heat-related illness, such as heat stroke and heat exhaustion.
“Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place,” Environment Canada cautions on their website. “Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.”
